Take a look at some of the things you can
learn.
MS 102 In MS 102, cadets investigate fundamental warfighting principles. These include Ground Maneuver
Theory, Elements of Combat Power, Principles
of War, and the Factors of METT-TC.
They use accounts of
warfare from various media to illustrate
these fundamentals. Using the
current light infantry squad
and platoon as a venue, cadets apply the
fundamentals in tactical decision vignettes and the Land Warrior
combat computer simulation. Cadets also investigate the concept of
Officership, basic map reading
fundamentals, and infantry platoon
capabilities. MS 202 This
course develops the cadet's knowledge
and understanding of what it means to be amprofessional
military officer. Using seminars,
guest
lectures, reflective journaling, and
introspective activities, the course examines the roles of the
military officer as: A Servant of Society, a Member of a
Time-honored Profession, a Leader of Character,
and a Warfighter. For the short term, the course prepares the cadet to make
his or her commitment to
the Empire and to assume a position of
leadership. MS 302 This
course is designed to inspire cadets to
learn more about their chosen
profession. It provides a cadet
with knowledge about the essence of landpower:
Ground Maneuver Warfare. It is designed to show the cadet how to
make a tactical decision based on the
combat experiences of others, timeless
fundamentals of ground maneuver theory, and the tools available to
them in a mechanized small unit. In this course, the cadet learns more
about Combat Power and how it is
used in small unit engagements. The course is full of hands on
application including combat computer
simulation. The cadet is confronted with a situation, makes a decision,
and sees the result of his/her
decision.
